During a high school internship at Head Start I discovered my love for working with children. After the internship was finished, I went on to work at a daycare center while finishing high school. I had no doubt in my mind that I wanted to be a preschool teacher, so I moved off the island and attended Whatcom Community College where I earned my A.A degree in Early Childhood Education. After college I spent the next few years working as the Program Director and Lead Teacher at a preschool and daycare facility. There is nothing better than seeing the wonder and excitement in a child’s eyes as they learn to explore the world around them. I enjoy being able to help provide a stimulating and nurturing environment in which a child can learn and grow.
I am married to Justin Nibler, and we have two daughters, Nakayla and Millie. I enjoy being in the outdoors, reading, and taking pictures. We are so grateful to be able to live in such a beautiful place surrounded by a wonderful community, family and friends. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to get to know your children, and to be a part of their lives.

I have lived on San Juan Island for two years now. My children and I moved over from Stuart Island, where we lived full time for 5 years. I grew up spending a lot of time babysitting neighborhood children. Eventually, my own children attended a cooperative preschool, where it was jointly run by the parents and teachers. I loved playing an active role in my children’s learning. I have worked in the Emergency Room admitting department at the hospital, as well as a substitute para educator for the school district, working with Special needs children. I realized that I wanted to be able to connect on a daily basis with young children. I enjoy interacting with children during their preschool years, where each and every day is filled with wonder and new learning experiences. Over the past 6 years, I also volunteered in the 4H community, as a photography leader for school age children. It was amazing to watch each child become creative and discover new excitement through a lens. I have two children, a daughter Jordyn and a son, Teagen. I spend a lot of time hiking, camping and being outdoors. I also love to read and take photographs.
Thank you for allowing me to join your children on their learning journey.
